Training
We offer two types of training programs. A personalized training course and a week-long course.

During our training courses we teach students all of the knowledge they need to safely and legally fly paramotors, specifically in the Hampton Roads Area and beyond. Our PPG instructors have over 20 years of real-world aviation experience, as FAA Certified Flight Instructors in addition to years’ experience flying everything from military helicopters to airliners. During the course you will learn about the following topics.

We understand that everyone learns differently, so we tailor our classes and teaching style to each individual through the course.

Ground Handling Techniques
Take Off and Landing Techniques
Equipment maintenance and inspections
Understanding aviation weather
FAA rules and regulations
Interpreting aviation charts and airspace
PPG safety and risk management
Aerodynamics
Operating in controlled airspace
Communicating with Air Traffic Control
Specific rules for flying in the Hampton Roads Area

The one-on-one training program is designed for local students (within 2hrs drive time) who have short notice availability to attend training sessions. Due to the dynamic weather condition in our area, we look ahead on a three-day weather forecast to determine when the best conditions for training will be in the area. Depending on student availability, skill and weather conditions the one-on-one training programs my take a few weeks to complete. The one-on-one course is perfect for people who don't have the ability to take time off work for an extended period of time and want a flexible local training program.

Week Long Course
Our week-long course is designed to give students the same knowledge they would gain throughout the personalized course in a much shorter time frame. During the week-long course students can expect to spend all day training on the field. Most students camp on the field or stay at a near-by hotel for the duration of the course.
